Dear friends,
I want to thank you for all your questions about addictions. I am working on answering them all. But, you asked so many of the same quesions over and over (starting with "Am I addicted?") I decided to write an entire book about it! It's called The 7 Why's of Addiction: The Hidden Secrets that Cause Addictions, and The 3 Keys to Finally be Free of Them.
The force was with me as they say. This book has some information I didn't even realize I knew. I wrote it all, nearly 400 pages, in just 6 weeks!! Just after my Grandma passed away (I'm her executor so it is still keeping me busy, she was more like my mom than my own mom since my mom was and is an addict to this day), during the holidays, as a single mom of 2 small kids. I look back & think "Wow, how did I do that?"
Some of the really cool things that should interest you, if you care at all about addictions:
- I answer the question, in depth (multiple chapters) of how to tell if you are really addicted. It is not as easy as it sounds, because for most people your addiciton is simply a habit that gets worse over time. This part includes a scale that identifies how addicted you really are. You will be able to use to know whether or not you're addicted, and if so how bad it is.

Otherwise keep reading to find out more... (continued)
- I answer the question throughout the book, in some depth, about what actually causes addictions. Why do some people try something once & do not get addicted, yet others do the same thing and get addicted immediately? This is not cut & dried, and I explain who is at risk and why. (If you have kids this book is great to help you identify if they are at risk for getting addicted.)
- Then, I really am stirring up some controversy. While it isn't my favorite thing, it can't be helped, really. All I need to do is look at all the celebrities who died of drug overdoses in just January of this year, and it makes me mad. Heath Ledger was the last straw! This information just needs to get out. So, I talk about the real effectiveness of the addiction and rehab programs out there. Really, this should be no surprise--you need only look at the news to see traditional rehab is a revolving door. And, I talk about the big business of addictions--those who profit from you remaining addicted.
- There are 7 "Why's" which is another way of saying the "root cause". What are the real reasons you get and stay addicted? This book answers these questions.
- Then, I have created a framework for you to be free of your addiction. This includes a 3 step process I call "RoCK". Within that, are the new and updated "11 Masterpiece People Steps" which, when followed over time, allow you to be permanently free of your addiction.
Check it out and let me know what you think! And, please tell your friends. I have special pricing right now for my readers.
